Make a Difference – Become a Volunteer Governor at Cambridge Nursery Federation

Are you passionate about early childhood education? Do you want to help shape the future of young learners in Cambridge?

Cambridge Nursery Federation is looking for dedicated volunteer governors to join our governing body and support our outstanding nursery schools. We oversee three nursery school sites in central Cambridge, providing high-quality early years education to local families. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your skills, insights, and enthusiasm to ensure every child gets the best start in life.

What Does a Nursery School Governor Do?

As a governor, you will:
✅ Help set the vision and direction of our three nursery schools
✅ Support and challenge leadership to ensure high-quality education
✅ Oversee budgets and policies to ensure effective management
✅ Make a real impact on the lives of local children and families

Who Can Apply?

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and sections of the community. No prior experience in education is required—just a commitment to making a positive difference. Skills in finance, HR, fundraising or community engagement are particularly valuable, but the most important thing is your enthusiasm and willingness to contribute.

Cambridge Nursery Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and expect all Governors to share this commitment. All Governors will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
